The college uses many methods and events to assess the students in terms of knowledge and skills before the commencement of the programs. The teachers of the respective department from the very beginning of the programme keep attention to the identification of the academic height of the students admitted to their departments. During the classroom interaction and through base level tests and class tests teachers identify the advanced and slow learners.
Advanced learners are easily identified, foremost through classroom interactions. The writing skills of the students, their originality, relevant research, ability for team-work, academic dominance and leadership are identified through a process of continuous observation and evaluation. The teachers of the respective departments during the formal and informal interaction with the students can identify the advanced learners who need to have more knowledge based information and skills development. To address their needs the teacher comes forward with broader outlook. Even they monitor their lessons going beyond the formal classroom teaching learning. Faculty provides advanced learners with access to advanced references; involves them in undergraduate research. Advanced learners are encouraged to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to ensure a holistic development. Many departments conduct events which provide a platform for the advanced learners to showcase their knowledge and utilize their skills.
