Reading Day Inspiration- 2023

The Library of Swami Muktanand College of Science, Yeola, commemorated Reading Inspiration Day in honor of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's birthday. Dr. Somanth Favade served as the session's chief guest. He spoke on "Majhi Janmathep," an autobiographical novel authored by independence fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, about his experiences while serving a term in the Andaman Islands. The story begins with his imprisonment in Dongri and ends with his final day in jail at Yeravada. The guest stated that all students and Indians should read the book. He added that Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's autobiography, Wings of Fire, discusses his early life as well as his involvement in Indian space research and missile programmes. It follows the story of a young boy from a humble household who ascended through the ranks of Indian space research and missile programs to become the country's president. The event was held as part of the Lecture Series of the S.P. Pune University-funded Bahishala Shikshan Mandal. The function was attended by Principal Dr. D B Goswami, Professor Dr. B B Rahane, Dr. A R Kumavat, Mr. P N Patil, and FY B Sc students.

Reading Inspiration Day-2022

S G S P Mandal’s Swami Muktanand College of Science Library celebrated “Reading inspiration Day” (Vaachan Prerna Din) on 15th October 2022. Library celebrates this day in memory of Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India & Missile Man of India. On this occasion to inspire students to read more and get more knowledge, library organize guest lecture of Dr. B. V. Game (Principal, Arts & Commerce College, Yeola) on Reading Habits for Career Development for students. To grace this occasion, IQAC Coordinator Ajay Tribhuvan, Professor Dr. B.B. Rahane, Prof. R.N. Wadlakar (SDO), A R Kumavat, N. B. Bachhav (Librarian) were present.

Reading Inspiration Day- 2021

College celebrated Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (President of India) Birth Anniversary 15 October 2021. All the staff garlanded the portrait of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and paid floral tribute. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, students were not allowed to participate the program.

Reading Inspiration Day 2020

Swami Muktanand College library celebrated Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (President of India) Jayanthi on 15-10-2020. All the staff garlanded the portrait of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and paid floral tribute. Dr. Ajay Vibhandik addressed the gathering by praising the eminent qualities of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam who played a leading role in the development of India’s missile and nuclear weapons programs. He was president of India from 2002 to 2007. He said, Kalam wrote several books, including an autobiography, Wings of Fire (1999). Among his numerous awards were two of the country’s highest honours, the Padma Vibhushan (1990) and the Bharat Ratna (1997). Due to COVID-19 pandemic, students were not allowed to participate the program.

Reading Inspiration Day -2019

On 15 October 2019, the 88th birth anniversary of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam was commemorated in the college seminar hall. During the programme, Dr. D. B. Goswami, and faculty presented floral tributes to Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam. Principal Dr. D. B. Goswami recalled that Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam committed his life to the development of India's missile and nuclear weapons programmes. He continued on to state that Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam's life, career, and principles are full with models and motivations. He will continue to inspire us for all eternity. Dr. Ajay Vibhnadik, Coordinator NSS, talked about Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam's role as a scientist at DRDO. Shri. P. N. Patil gave a vote of thanks at the close of the session. For the programme, all F Y B Sc students were in attendance.

Reading Inspiration Day - 2018

Reading Inspiration Day was celebrated at Swami Muktanand College of Science, Yeola as a birthday of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam On 15th of October 2018. On this occasion, Granth Dindi or a procession of books placed in palanquin started from college covering Yeola City major parts such as Kala Maruti road, main road, Ch. Shivaji Statute, fatteburuj naka etc. to create awareness among the citizen, kids and students about importance of reading habit and purpose of Maharashtra Government to celebrating the day. S G S P Mandal’s Chairman, Secretary performed a pooja of the books and palanquin before starts. Students and teachers was participated in the procession.

Reading Inspiration Day 2017

The library of Swami Muktanand College of Science, Yeola, celebrated Reading Inspiration Day on October 15, 2017, in honor of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's birthday. Dr. Prasad Kulkarni (Sanskrit Teacher) was the session's major guest, and he spoke about "Reading Habits Among Students in 21 Century. Dr. Prasad Kulkarni, the chief guest, spoke to the pupils on developing a reading habit. Technology may have helped to grow mankind, but it also appears to be robbing us of the simple pleasures of life that we grew up with, such as book reading and its core. Reading habits among young people in the country have declined in recent years due to a variety of issues, many of which are blamed on the internet. Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam recommended six successful approaches to succeed and shine, which the speaker highlighted. On this occasion, three F Y B Sc. students who scored first in the HSC exams were honored with a book written by A.P.J Abdul Kalam. Students from F Y and S Y B Sc. engaged actively and were encouraged by the speech. The function concluded with students' remarks, a standing ovation, and a vote of appreciation submitted by Mr. N. B. Bachhav.
